Amara NZero, as part of its commitment to the Next Gen, is launching a collaboration to provide professional training to young people in situations of exclusion or high vulnerability.
Promoted by UNICEF Spain, the multi-stakeholder alliance ‘Generation Unlimited Spain’ (GenU), brings together key actors to promote job opportunities in the Energy Transition and the green economy and aims to respond to the difficult situation in Spain of many young people who make up the group most at risk of not getting a quality job.
This important purpose, which is now joined by Amara NZero and which includes Iberdrola as a leading partner of the GenU Alliance for green jobs, seeks to provide young people with the skills and opportunities necessary to integrate into jobs that promote sustainable solutions and promote equal access to quality education, training, employment, entrepreneurship and citizen participation.
The green jobs that this training for young people in vulnerable situations is intended to promote are aimed at future workers with or without basic academic training (ESO, basic vocational training, etc.), who also receive comprehensive support before, during and after the training process, by the prestigious social entities that participate in the Alliance.
Jobs that promote the Energy Transition
Within the framework of this initiative, Amara NZero actively collaborates by developing a specific training itinerary for 15 young people in the activity of logistics and forklift handling, aimed at serving the renewable energy sector. The Pinardi Foundation, a partner organisation of the Alliance, has joined this initiative, playing a key role in the identification and selection of candidates and comprehensive support throughout the process.
From 15 April until 16 May, theoretical and practical training will take place at Amara NZero's innovative facilities in Meco (Madrid), providing the group of young participants with the necessary skills for a future career in management and control of the supply chain and operations related to the Energy Transition.
Specifically, this training programme consists of 30 hours of logistics training and 20 hours of forklift training. In addition, Amara NZero offers 20 hours of work experience supervised by its warehouse managers, with the aim of providing practical experience in a real working environment.
Amara NZero's participation in this project is a consequence of its Global Sustainability Strategy 2025, which prioritises the adoption of actions with real impact and which are aligned with its commitment to future generations.
